Effective August 12, 2013 — The TABC requires two (2) forms of ID to be able to get a permit. One must be a valid photo ID such as a driver’s license or US passport and the second may be a social security card or birth certificate. You must know your Social Security number or bring the card with you to class. Foreign passports and International driver’s licenses are not accepted by the TABC. If you are not a US citizen, please contact the instructor listed to discuss the forms of ID needed by the TABC. If you have any other questions, please ask the instructor so that you bring the necessary forms to class.
Registration Not Required!
You may register by clicking on the class itself. You may register at the class but it is nice to know you are coming.

You’ll Need These Additional Directions for Knoxville Classes
Just click here: http://pounceypartners.com/directions. You’ll need these directions because although we are located on Western Ave., our parking lot and entrance is in the back of the building off the alley running between Deaderick and Carrick Street.
List of Classes Canceled Due to Scary Weather
We rarely have to cancel a class but sometimes the weather just gets really nasty and we don’t like risking our lives to drive in really bad conditions. If there is a serious storm threat or icy conditions please check here to see if your class is canceled.
Currently no classes are canceled.
Last Minute Location Change
Sometimes we have a location posted on the schedule or are all ready to do a class and the location closes or books a large party. Sometimes we know in advance and sometimes we find out the day of the class and have to do some scrambling. This doesn’t happen often at all but just in case, you might want to check this before you leave for class.
Currently there are no changes.
When Do I Get My Permit?
We have no control over this. The TABC is short staffed and depending on what’s happening they can get very busy. It can sometimes take up to 10 business days before they are ready so it is best to get into class at least 2-3 weeks before your card expires or your grace period is up. There are no grace periods for expiring cards.
Is Your Location Needing a Private Class?
Are you a new restaurant with a large staff needing permits? If so, we offer private classes at your store location. We request a guarantee of at least 10 students for a private class. Still interested? Call Melinda at 865-804-4211 for Johnson City/Kingsport areas or Kim at 865-300-6246 for Knoxville/Chattanooga areas to discuss.
